BSM Boxing & Fitness is run by Brad Milner.
Brad first went to a boxing gym in search of improved fitness for the coming Rugby League season at age 19.
Boxing, known as the Sweet Science, quickly became his passion and after a successful Amateur Boxing career he turned to the Pro Ranks in 2006. He was the NZ Amateur Light Welter Weight Champion in 2000, won Gold at the Arafura Games 2001 & picked up the Bronze in the Oceania Games 2002. As a Professional Boxer Brad mixed it with the best in Australasia going into combat with many highly ranked fighters, many times victorious, always entertaining and courageous.
During his Amateur career he completed a Degree in Sports Management, a Graduate Certificate in Social Science and a Certificate in Exercise & Sports Psychology. Brad is currently undergoing further study in the area of Exercise & Mental Health.
Since 2005 he has turned his focus to helping others achieve their health & fitness goals. Brad is of the belief that a full understanding of work and family commitments is paramount in designing a plan to suit the individuals’ health & fitness goals. Brad commented “knowing the person and adapting a workable fitness plan into their weekly routine which is enjoyable and progressive over time I feel is the key to success in exercise prescription.”
Brad is empathtic and personable in nature, this combined with his sporting experience, tertiary education, passion for Boxing and Sports Science see him in the ideal position to deliver an excellent service.
